There were high quality staff and views, everything you need for a relaxing stay. Had good sleep at the classic double room.
Chose this hotel for the location, and it lived up to expectations. Set in beautiful gardens which roll straight down to a peaceful bay. 5 mins walk to the beach, and easy access to the coastal path, with some great walks. Excellent breakfast and room.
The location is perfect if the weather's good. However, if it's raining there is very little to do in the hotel or the surrounding area. The hotel is 20mins drive from the nearest town. There is no night porter, and no way of getting a drink or snack after the restaurant has shut.
Lovely comfortable bed in attractive room with great bathroom, fantastic food and very helpful and friendly staff, down a long narrow lane coming out into a wonderful cove with sea view - a treasure at the end of the journey. Quirky art on the walls, great fun to look at and individual style.
The staff were exceedingly welcoming. Our room was recently decorated and the bedding crisp and clean. The restaurant was beautifully located with a sea view and the food was excellent.
The shower was a rather difficult but the manager of the hotel immediately asked the plumber to investivate.
From the moment we arrived the service was excellent and the staff freindly and helpful. The room was spotless and very well presented. The view from our window was breathtaking. I would not hesitate to recommend the Talland bay to anyone.
Very enjoyable clean great views
Efficient, attentive staff trained to a high standard. Brilliant location for relaxing or exploring the local area. Breathtaking vista. Food excellent whether in the brasserie or in the restaurant.
During our stay we were treated like royalty....The staff were courteous and friendly. We felt warmth and discretion from the outset. We were left in no doubt that the whole team wished our stay to be a special experience. As my mother used to say......We were waited on Hand, Foot, and Finger. Thank you All.......Chris & Sue
We were at Talland bay for a friends wedding but were made to feel as special as the bride and groom for the whole of our visit.
We liked everything about this hotel, from the room to the service to the unbeatable view. The gardens are lovely and very interesting, as are the decorations and ornaments inside the hotel. We would love to come back here again for a week at least (if we could afford to). Very highly recommended
We liked the decor, the furniture and fittings, the location and the staff. We also liked the gardens, the food and the mix of superior and classic rooms. It had a lovely atmosphere, it is a family run hotel and that adds to the ambience, although it was intimate and small it was very professionally run and worked like clockwork. We would certainly go back and recommend it to anyone wishing to have a quiet but elegant stay in a small and intimate hotel setting, in what was a stunning location.
Fantastic food, views and staff made our stay amazing.
nsuitableOur stay was brief because of my mobility problems. The hotel is superb,I could not fault it.Unfortunately it is not disabled friendly, the grounds have many stone steps which vary in height, it has no lift apparently because of it being listed an d even our bedroom was two steps down at the threshold.Because of my mobility problem I found it necessary to check out after only 24hrs. However for the able bodied the hotel is exellent and I would recommend to my able bodied friends.
There was nothing I disliked about Talland Bay Hotel, other than it was not disabled friendly.
Our stay at Talland Bay was wonderful. We enjoyed the luxury it afforded. We visited The Lost gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project. We had a lovely 5 days of holiday relaxation. The Staff and service were faultless. We definitely will go back. Thankyou.
Everything....location, the hotel and amenities, the food, the friendly staff
Having to leave! Could have stayed much longer!
